It's Official. He's the Obamassiah
Someone finally decided that Barack Obama is God.
I'm glad we got that out of the way. I was a little confused there for a while.
I can't embed the video for whatever reason, so you'll have to click on this link.

Notre Dame.....I Know, Old News
So, I'm a little behind on opinions and such. Here's a great post by Fr. Z on the Notre Dame crapola that Frurer Obama was a part of.
Go read it. You know you want to.
I know it's old news, but I drank a cup of Darjeerling Tea at my friend, laurazim's, this evening and it's caffinated and I'm on a roll and I am putting up all the stuff on my blog that I have wanted to put up for weeks.
So there.

Here is What I Think
Not that I am so conceited that I *just know* you're hanging on my every word......I am actually very humbled that anyone reads this.
I also have an opinion that anyone who promotes and supports the killing of precious lives, the largest holocaust to ever hit our nation, or the world for that matter, should not be applauded. Even at an inauguration.
Watch this.

Wordless
I know some of you have been wondering what I think about this weeks events, i.e. the inauguration of our president, the March for Life, etc.
I don't even know what to say. I have pondered this post and topic all week.
I'm wordless.
I'll let you know what I come up with when I get a chance to organize my thoughts.
For now: I think we missed the mark. MLK, Jr. was Pro-life.

Economics 101
Our Tax System Explained: Bar Stool Economics
Suppose that every day, ten men go out for beer and the bill for all ten comes to $100.
If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go something like this:
The first four men (the poorest) would pay nothing.
The fifth would pay $1.
The sixth would pay $3.
The seventh would pay $7.
The eighth would pay $12.
The ninth would pay $18.
The tenth man (the richest) would pay $59.
So, that's what they decided to do. The ten men drank in the bar every day and seemed quite happy with the arrangement, until one day, the owner threw them a curve. "Since you are all such good customers," he said, "I'm going to reduce the cost of your daily beer by $20."
Drinks for the ten now cost just $80. The group still wanted to pay their bill the way we pay our taxes, so the first four men were unaffected. They would still drink for free. But what about the other six men - the paying customers? How could they divide the $20 windfall so that everyone would get his "fair share?"
They realized that $20 divided by six is $3.33. But if they subtracted that from everybody's share, then the fifth man and the sixth man would each end up being paid to drink his beer. So, the bar owner suggested that it would be fair to reduce each man's bill by roughly the same amount, and he proceeded to work out the amounts each should pay.
And so:
The fifth man, like the first four, now paid nothing (100% savings).
The sixth now paid $2 instead of $3 (33%savings).
The seventh now pay $5 instead of $7 (28%savings).
The eighth now paid $9 instead of $12 (25% savings).
The ninth now paid $14 instead of $18 (22% savings).
The tenth now paid $49 instead of $59 (16% savings).
Each of the six was better off than before. And the first four continued to drink for free.
But once outside the restaurant, the men began to compare their savings.
"I only got a dollar out of the $20,"declared the sixth man. He pointed to the tenth man, "but he got $10!"
"Yeah, that's right," exclaimed the fifth man. "I only saved a dollar, too. It's unfair that he got ten times more than I got"
"That's true!!" shouted the seventh man. "Why should he get $10 back when I got only two? The wealthy get all the breaks!"
"Wait a minute," yelled the first four men in unison. "We didn't get anything at all. The system exploits the poor!"
The nine men surrounded the tenth and beat him up. The next night the tenth man didn't show up for drinks so the nine sat down and had beers without him. But when it came time to pay the bill, they discovered something important. They didn't have enough money between all of them for even half of the bill!
And that, ladies and gentlemen, journalists and college professors, is how our tax system works. The people who pay the highest taxes get the most benefit from a tax reduction. Tax them too much, attack them for being wealthy, and they just may not show up anymore. In fact, they might start drinking overseas where the atmosphere is somewhat friendlier.

+JMJ+ Pray For Us!!
As I awoke this morning, a cloud of fear was building around my heart. What has happened in our country?
I drove my two "building school" children to school and my 15 yr. old asked who won the election. When I told her the only words she could think to say was, "That's scary."
She wasn't being sarcastic or blowing it off the way some teenagers in secular society may. She was genuinely frightened at the thought of this man leading our country and even more scared hearing that he had gained that ability.
She isn't the only one.
I, too, am very scared. I could think of nothing other than prayer this morning as I drove back to my home from the school. My husband's reaction has been anger. He is very angry at what has happened. I don't blame him. I don't know why I don't feel angry too.
I am not shocked that this happened, but there is still a sense of disbelief in my mind. I guess I am just so amazed at this man's ability to deceive the people of this nation so easily. Again, my mind goes directly to Hitler and his ability to convince people that he had their common good in mind when he was making decisions.
This morning I am left with these thoughts: What will God think of what we have done? What will be the effect on our country's people? How much more genocide can we endure?
I do not believe that God is vengeful. But I do believe that he listens to what we ask for. I am reminded of an interview that Billy Graham's daughter did on the Early Show. She was asked in reference to Hurricane Katrina by Jane Clayson, "How could God let something like this happen?"
Her answer was the more eloquent than I could have phrased, but makes perfect and absolute sense, especially now - "I believe God is deeply saddened by this, just as we are, but for years we've been telling God to get out of our schools, to get out of our government and to get out of our lives. And being the gentleman He is, I believe He has calmly backed out. How can we expect God to give us His blessing and His protection if we demand He leave us alone?"
I cannot imagine what protection we, as a nation, are going to lose with this man leading us. I am afraid for all the lives that God himself has created that will be lost to the holocaust of abortion and what protection we are going to lose because of that.
My only hope is for prayer. Prayer is the only answer I can think of, the only chance we have left. I pray that God shows unfathomable mercy on us. That His forgiveness washes over each and every one of us.
I believe that in the coming years the "change" these people were hoping for, some of them claiming to be Christians and Catholics, is going to be so distorted from what they thought that even they will be able to see the evil this man is surrounded by and the evil he has brought upon our nation. I worry that by then, it will be too late.
I am also reaffirmed in my conviction that homeschooling is the right path for my children and family. Taking full responsibility for what my children learn, especially in the area of religious studies, ensures that they will be taught the fullness of the Catechism and the true teaching of the Church.
I pray for those Catholics and Christians alike who voted for Obama with no real understanding that they were doing the devil's work. It is his work that has created the gap and hole in Catholic teaching and understanding of the Catechism and his work that has lead other Christians to believe that it is OK to go against the will of God.
Jesus, Mary, and Joseph pray for us! We need your intersession to survive these horrible sins which we have brought upon ourselves.

How We Feel About Babies....
They are such nice ways to start people.

That's me and my little ones on a field trip to a McCain-Palin rally. It was really quite a day!
And here's how our two candidates for president feel about babies -
Did you hear? Obama says, "...that's above my pay grade," when asked about when a baby becomes a human. McCain says, "At conception."
Obama also says, "If [my daughters] make a mistake, I don't want them punished with a baby."
I didn't realize babies were punishments.

Something A Wee Bit (and just a wee bit) different
Although I wish I could take credit for this next bit, I can't. I don't know who wrote it, but it was forwarded to me through email by My Dear Friend M., whom I don't know what I would do without.
We both agree whoever did write it deserves a HUGE pat on the back! ~~
THE JOB - URINE TEST
Like a lot of folks in this state, I have a job. I work, they pay me. I pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit. In order to get that paycheck, I am required to pass a random urine test with which I have no problem. What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who don't have to pass a urine test.
Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check because I have to pass one to earn it for them? Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet. I do, on the other hand, have a problem with helping someone sitting on their A--, doing drugs, while I work. . . . Can you imagine how much money the state would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a public assistance check?
I guess we could title that program, 'Urine or You're Out'. ~~
I love that one.
The other thing I want you to think about during this election season is what other things you'd rather not pay for with your tax dollars. Would you like to pay for, say, abortion? That's what Barack Obama wants you to do. FOCA not only would make abortion available on demand but it would also require our tax dollars to fund and abortion for anyone who wants one.
How do you like them apples?

Genocide Anyone? or Know Who You're Voting For (Vol. 6)
I remember reading in my history books about someone who was a master of genocide. In fact, he was so good at it that he didn't have to do it alone. He convinced a whole nation of people to get behind him and help. Eventually, they didn't even need his convincing anymore. They were more than happy to kill the "enemy" on their own.
He was a very well-liked man. An eloquent speaker. The country he was leader of was coming out of a financial crisis. When he was campaigning to be in charge he promised "big changes" and the people loved him for it.
Once he gained power, the country did start to make a turn-around. The economy got better. They became a wealthy nation again. They loved him so much. He had them right where he wanted them. They would do anything their "savior" asked.
A few years later, six million people were dead. Six. Million. 6,000,000.
His reign of genocide was so epic they called it The Holocaust.
His name was Adolf Hitler.
Whose genocide will reign next?
48,000,000+ and counting babies killed since Roe v. Wade.
You decide.

Abortion Marketing or Know Who You're Voting For (Vol. 4)
Senator Barack Obama has promised the first thing he will do as President is to sign the "Freedom of Choice Act". Has a nice ring to it, doesn't it? "Freedom of Choice Act"
Did you hear him say, "...it's about playing offense."? We have to play offense? Against babies? And just what exactly have they done to us?
I can't even stand it. Who does this guy think he is?

Contradiction or Know Who You're Voting For (Vol. 3)
Doesn't it seem odd to you that someone who is pro-choice is also anti-war?
Think about it. How can you be pro-killing and be anti-killing?
It's kind of like many liberals in the "big city" close to where I live (in rural America) where the majority is pro-death (oh, I'm sorry, I meant pro-choice. I don't know what came over me) but anti-death penalty. Huh?! You think we should kill the innocent and spare the guilty? That makes sense to you?
Does it make sense to you?
As a Catholic, neither is OK with me. But as a previous agnostic, I was pretty darn OK with the death penalty and assumed the issue of abortion had not too much to do with me since I knew I'd never have one.
I promise to publish a post at some later time about how I became vehemently pro-life. For now, let me simply explain my problem with this contradiction I see in society with these two issues.
I, myself, struggle with the issue of the death penalty. As a Catholic, I am to believe that life is to be honored from conception to natural death. So I pray fervently for humility and courage to know that all life, including that which has committed grave sin, is worthy. After all, but for the Grace of God have I been brought to the Church and His forgiveness.
What I just don't understand is how someone can claim that they are "pro-choice" and at the same time oppose the death penalty. By their own definition they say that the life of a criminal is worth saving.
What crime has the unborn committed?
